Phoenix has shown defensive improvement under Monty Williams ranking seventh in fewest points allowed per game. The Suns, though, are coming off an embarrassing 128-107 road loss to the Wizards. 
A major factor why the Suns lost that game was Washington controlled the tempo playing at a fast pace. That's not the Suns' style nowadays since they acquired Chris Paul to operate the team at point guard. Phoenix has become far less up-tempo with the veteran Paul running the show. Paul may have to play extended minutes, too, if backup Suns point guard Cameron Payne has to miss a third straight game due to an ankle injury. 
The Suns also won't have to face sharpshooter Bogdan Bogdanovic, who suffered a knee injury this past Saturday and is out indefinitely. 
The Hawks are giving up just 102.3 points in their last six games. That would rank them first defensively in the NBA if computed for the entire season. The Under has cashed in Atlanta's last six games and six of its past seven road games.
