The Nuggets fell behind in their playoff series against the Jazz and Clippers last season. Denver won both of those series. The Nuggets find themselves down 2-1 to the Trail Blazers this season. I'm confident the Nuggets will win this home matchup to even the series after being embarrassed, 115-95, this past Saturday at Portland.
Denver has had two full days to absorb that flat performance and being called "soft" by its coach, Michael Malone.
The Nuggets have a much better defense than the Trail Blazers, have the deeper bench and should come out with super intensity and purpose. I certainly don't expect the Nuggets to hit just 34 percent of their shots from the floor like they did in Game 3, nor shoot 29.5 percent from 3-point range.
Denver ranked 4th in field goal percentage during the regular season and eighth in 3-point shooting accuracy. Portland ranked 25th in defensive field goal percentage.
Denver has won eight of its past 10 home games. This is the Nuggets' biggest home game of the season.
