The Mariners don't generate much respect, but they are a feisty, underrated crew that is dangerous as home 'dogs. Seattle is 11-5 the past 16 times taking a plus price at home.

Seattle is 8-5 in its last 13 games with three of those defeats coming by a single run. 

The pitching matchup is Eduardo Rodriguez versus Logan Gilbert. Rodriguez has a disappointing 5.15 ERA. He was racked by the Rays in his last start this past Tuesday giving up six earned runs in 3 2/3 innings. 

Gilbert also has a high ERA. However, the Mariners are 10-5 when they've been an underdog with Gilbert on the mound. Gilbert may dodge Red Sox power-hitter J.D. Martinez, who has missed the last three games due to back spasms.
