Purdy played in nine games last year, throwing for 1,374 yards, 13 TDs and 4 INTs. Purdy has a tough matchup in Week 1 on the road at Pittsburgh. The Steelers were 9-7-1 last season, extending Mike Tomlin's NFL record to 16 consecutive seasons without a losing record. They were 8-2 in games that TJ Watt played, and they were 6-2-1 at home. It's easy to look at what San Francisco did last year and assume they are the better team. I think it would be a mistake to do so, as this is a new season and everybody starts with a clean slate.
