The Pirates were just 5-13 in the CAA and 8-24 overall last year. They still posted a winning record at home, and seven of their eight wins were in home games. Their only home game this season was a win over Florida Gulf Coast. They have overhauled their starting lineup to include three seniors, including leading scorer Tedrick Wilcox who came in via transfer. UMBC was just 8-8 in the American East last season, but they lost 10 of their 15 road games. Hampton is 5-1 ATS in their last five home games while UMBC is 1-9 SU in their last 10 on the road.
