This is an 8* MONEYLINE MA$$ACRE on Appalachian State.
App State is 1-1, and ECU is 2-0, but I think the Mountaineers on the moneyline offers the best value in this spot for a couple of really good reasons.
App State mentally "packed it in early" in last week's 66-20 loss to Clemson. Previous to that the Mountaineers beat ETSU by a score of 38-10 and they enter this one averaging a respectable 29 PPG so far.
ECU is coming off an uninspiring 20-14 win over ODU. Previous to that the Pirates beat Norfolk State 42-3. Clearly, East Carolina hasn't been challenged at all this year.
The Pirates have averaged 31 PPG so far, against some really terrible defenses.
App State QB Joey Aguilar has 540 passing yards and three TD's so far, while ECU' QB Jake Garcia has 591 yards, four TD's and seven INT's.
Everything points to a decisive win in my opinion. Lay the price with APPALACHIAN STATE on the MONEYLINE.
