(NBA) Denver vs. Chicago,
Total: 206.00 | -110.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 206.00 | -110.00 Under
Result: Win
This is an 8* O/U ASSASSIN on the OVER between the Denver Nuggets and the Chicago Bulls.
Chicago is winning, but its offense has struggled a bit of late. A game vs. the defensively challenged Nuggets is just what the doctor ordered to get untracked though. Neither of these teams has been playing to many high-scoring affairs of late, but for a number of different reasons (mainly based on strong O/U trends), I expect today's total to sail above the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. The Bulls will be looking to start their new win skein after Tuesday's listless 96-82 loss to Brooklyn, a day after the team gutted out a 92-90 win over Indiana. Note though, Chicago had averaged 109 points and shot almost 47.5 percent during its six game win streak. And that certainly doesn't bode well for a Denver team which has allowed its opposition to average 108.2 points in losing four of its last five, most recently a 111-103 home defeat to the Lakers, letting LA shoot almost 53 percent from the floor. Also note that Denver has been particularly poor on the road this year, it's been outscored by an average of 15.5 points in losing six straight away from friendly confines. Note that Denver has seen the total go OVER the number in ten of 16 this year vs. teams with winning records and in two of its last three of an upset win as an underdog. And note that Chicago has seen the total fly above the posted number in three of four this year off an upset loss as a favorite and in seven of 12 non-conference games. In my opinion, the situation, the numbers and the trends all do indeed point to the OVER as the sharp move here.
