Total: 5.00 | 105.00 Under

This is a 10* O/U WEST-COAST EXPRESS on the OVER between the St. Louis Blues and the Minnesota Wild.
For a number of different reasons I expect this total to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. It's interesting to note that if the playoffs started today, the Blues would be facing the Wild in the opening round. I think there will be a playoff like atmosphere in the building today and I believe that energy is going to translate into production on the ice. The Blues sit atop the Central with 96 points, 11 ahead of a Wild team which is clinging to the Western Conference's first wild-card spot. Minnesota has been on a tear of late, going 19-5-1 since January 27th and has picked up three of a possible four points vs. St. Louis after beating it 3-1 on Saturday. The Wild have been great on the road, but note that they're just 2-4-0 in their last six in Minnesota, they'll be looking to rebound after a 2-1 loss to Washington on Thursday. The Blues will be similarly motivated after falling 2-1 in a shootout at Winnipeg on Thursday. St. Louis has to be liking its chances for revenge as well, it's 10-2-0 the last 12 vs. the Wild, including winning five of six in Minnesota. Note that the Blues have seen the total go OVER the number in eight of ten this year after scoring one goal or less in their previous contest, while Minnesota has seen the total sail above the posted number in 14 of 27 vs. teams with winning records. I think the conditions are now finally right for a high-scoring OVER.
