This is an 8* RUN-LINE DESTRUCTION on the Houston Astros.
The visitors trot out Chad Bettis (2-1, 3.05 ERA) who went five frames, striking out six while allowing six hits in his team's 4-2 loss to the Cardinals on Wednesday, ultimately giving up three earned runs before being pulled. Bettis has been pretty decent this year, but faces a stiff test throwing opposite Dallas Keuchel (7-2, 1.90 ERA) who is coming off only his second loss of the season on Tuesday, giving up two runs off seven hits over seven innings of work in a 4-2 setback to the White Sox. Keuchel has now earned a quality start in each of his last three outings and allowed a total of four runs over 22 innings in that span. And unfortunately for Bettis and the Rockies, this is a spot in which Keuchel has dominated in all year, a perfect 5-0 with a tiny 1.29 ERA in front of the home town crowd. I think the writing is on the wall and a blowout is in the cards, I have no problem at all laying the 1.5 runs for the pick em price as this does in fact represent one of the biggest talent discrepancies on the board in my opinion; play on the ASTROS on the RUN-LINE.
