AAA's 10* NBA Finals Game 6 TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER (13-6 NBA PLAYOFF RUN!)
(NBA) Golden State vs. Cleveland,
Total: 195.00 | -105.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 195.00 | -105.00 Under
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the OVER between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
I played the OVER in Game 5 and received the PUSH, another frustrating result as the team's obviously had many missed chances to push the total above the posted number. If you did not read the analysis for that pick, then we'll do so now, as for the most part it also directly applies to this selection:
I played the OVER in Game 4 and the teams had 146 combined points after three quarters and while the Warriors would go on to score 27 in the final frame, the Cavaliers managed just 12. Clearly LeBron James and Matthew Dellavedova and company are gassed, but you can bet that the visitors will be looking to give the Warriors their best shot today as they will have to get out and match pace with the home side. What's happened to JR Smith and Iman Shumpert? Both players struggled mightily in Game 4, but I simply can't see these veterans having such a horrific outing for a second straight time. On the flip side though, this is finally the opportunity that the Warriors have been waiting for, there's no question that the home side will be pushing the tempo from the outset. I think we've yet to see Golden State's best effort in this series, but the conditions would now appear perfect for its sharp shooters to get untracked. The O/U is 1-3 so far in this series, the only one going over was in Game 1 when the Cavaliers escaped with the OT victory. Game 2 stayed UNDER the number despite also going to the extra frame. It's all tied up and the gloves are off, I am finally expecting a more wide open game here and look for this total to sneak OVER the posted number as the game comes down the stretch.
As a situational handicapper, these are exactly the types of contests that I keep my eyes open for. Every single game of this series has gone UNDER the number except for Game 1, which went to overtime; I believe that the value has now clearly swung to the higher number in Game 6. There's no way that Golden State wants to go home for a decisive Game 7 where anything can happen, look for the team to get out and push the pace of this one from the outset. And for the Cavaliers, clearly it's put up or shut up, the home side will be forced to keep pace here. All signs do indeed point to the OVER as the savvy move in this contest.
