Kevin Gausman is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA but has been out of action since the beginning of May with a shoulder injury. And note that Gausman has not made an actual start for Baltimore since 2014, making eight relief appearances this year before suffering the injury. Gausman draws a tough opponent in his first start back throwing opposite Mark Buehrle (7-4, 4.01 ERA) who gave up two runs in an unfortunate no-decision in Monday's 4-3 loss to the Mets; the veteran would allow four hits and strike out five. Note that it was the third consecutive start that Buehrle has given up two or fewer runs. And a date at home is just what the doctor ordered to keep the momentum rolling, Buehrle is 3-1 with a respectable 3.56 ERA in Toronto so far this season. I'm giving Buehrle the big nod on the mound, the Jays lineup the slight nod at the plate and with those two important factors clearly on our side, it makes this a price which I can live with paying.
