AAA's American League TOTAL "ART OF THE GAME!"
(MLB) Oakland vs. Texas,
Total: 9.00 | -110.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 9.00 | -110.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOTAL ART OF THE GAME on the UNDER between the Oakland Athletics or the Texas Rangers.
We have two hungry and extremely motivated hurlers facing off in this American League matchup and suffice it to say, when the smoke clears at the end of this one, I expect this total to fall below the posted number. The A's turn to Jesse Chavez (3-6, 2.52 ERA) who would strike out 11 in a 16-2 victory over the Padres on Wednesday, he'd ultimately go seven frames and scatter just three hits in the process. Note that Chavez has now held teams to one earned run or less in five games and he has to be feeling pretty confident this evening as he comes into this contest sporting a tiny 1.71 ERA in all "night" contests this year. The home side counters with rookie phenom Chi Chi Gonzalez (2-1, 0.90 ERA) who is coming off a no-decision in a 3-2 win over the Dodgers on Tuesday; Gonzalez would give up two runs off five hits over 8 1/3's innings of work. Note that over his first four starts of the season, Gonzalez has given up a total of three runs in 24 1/3's innings of work. I don't see any reason for either of these two competent starters to be distracted today, I think this focus from each will translate into efficiency on the mound; play on the UNDER.
