(MLB) Tampa Bay vs. NY Yankees,
Money Line: -173.00 NY Yankees (Home)
Result: Loss
Money Line: -173.00 NY Yankees (Home)
Result: Loss
This is a 6* SITUATIONAL PITCHING MISMATCH on the New York Yankees.
We feel that the massive talent discrepancy, both on the mound and at the plate today, absolutely justifies in laying this larger price. New York comes in having won six of its last seven, averaging 8.9 runs over the win skein. The home side looks to keep the momentum rolling by handing the ball to Nathan Eovaldi (14-2, 4.17 ERA) who is coming off a win despite giving up five runs over five innings, the Yanks thumping the Braves 20-6 in that one. Eovaldi though is 9-0 with a respectable 3.32 ERA during a 13 start unbeaten stretch in which he's been the beneficiary of a league-high 7.89 run-support average. The visitors counter with Matt Moore (1-3, 8.78 ERA) who returns to the big leagues for the first time in a month, the Rays sending the southpaw to Triple A after losing his first three starts with a deplorable 10.66 ERA. As mediocre as Eovaldi has been this year, he's light-years ahead of Moore, we'll lay the price and back the surging YANKEES, who look to re-take the AL East lead with a series sweep of Tampa Bay.
