This is an 8* BLOCKBUSTER on Missouri.
We played against Arkansas State last week and we think the team will once again stumble here as we expect No. 21 Missouri to pull away down the stretch for the comfortable ATS cover. The last time these teams met, the Tigers smashed the Red Wolves 41-19 in 2013. Last week Arkansas State was annihilated 55-6 at USC. The Red Wolves did manage five sacks and 401 yards of total offense, but had four turnovers and 88 yards in penalties. The Tigers' defense was in top gear last week, giving up only three points and allowing just 56 passing yards, which is obviously bad news for an Arkansas State team which has a sub-par passing game. Also note that Missouri's offense looked dominant as well in the 34-3 victory over Southeast Missouri, keep your eyes on receivers J'Mon Moore, Tyler Hunt and Nate Brown. And that's the bottom line for us in this one, we simply can't see the Red Wolves suspect offense keeping pace with Missouri's dynamic unit. Also note that Missouri is 4-1 ATS in its last five as a favorite in the 10.5 to 21 points range, 5-0 ATS its last five as a road favorite, 10-0 ATS in its last ten on the road and 7-4 ATS in its last 11 non-conference games, while Arkansas State is just 1-2 ATS in its last three as an underdog in the 10.5 to 21 points range and only 6-7 ATS in its last 13 non-conference contests. All signs do indeed point to a "rocking chair" cover this evening, play on MISSOURI.
