Total: 54.00 | -106.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the UNDER between Indiana and Wake Forest.
Indiana is 3-0 SU, despite looking shaky at points during its win skein. The offense has looked pretty good vs. a couple of horrible opponents and one decent one in front of the home town crowd, but if the team is going to take the step to the next level, clearly it needs to tighten up on the defensive side of the ball. Wake Forest is more of a balanced team than the Hoosiers, getting mediocre play on both sides of the ball, instead of having a dominant offense and a poor defense. Wake has question marks surrounding the health of starting QB John Wolford, which means that backup and dual threat Kendall Hinton is likely to see time today; Hinton carried the ball 17 times for over 100 yards and both WFU TD's when he came in against Army, but was less efficient through the air, going 15 of 27 for 159 yards, with almost 1/3 of those yards coming on a single play. Indiana looked a lot better on the defensive side of the ball in the second half vs. WKU and has a big opportunity today to continue to make strides vs. an offensive unit which is poised to struggle again. The Hoosiers offense has looked great at home, but the big question is whether the team can take the show on the road. We think the unit will struggle a bit out of the gate. Also note that inclement weather is expected. And note that Wake Forest has seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of its last ten in front of the home town crowd. All signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this contest.
