When the smoke clears at the end of this one, we expect the home side to find a way to get the job done at the end of the night. The 3-2 Golden Eagles have definitely taken a step in the right direction, but we feel they'll fall flat on their face here, a trip to Huntington to play the defending league champs on national TV just screams "letdown." The Herd are 4-1 and have been surviving despite a rash of injuries but the team is accustomed to playing meaningful games, while the Eagles are definitely not. USM has put up some great offensive numbers to open the year, but it will now face the top defensive unit in Conference USA, the Herd have the talent to contain the Eagles' playmakers. We feel that Marshall's backup QB Chase Litton and RB Michael Pittman, combined with the THUNDERING HERDS' superior defense will do just enough to win this game Straight Up.
