Total: 54.00 | -106.00 Under
Result: Win
This is a 10* MAC CONFERENCE TOTAL OF THE WEEK on the OVER between Buffalo and Central Michigan.
CMU leads the all-time series 6-1, but this is just the second ever trip for Buffalo to Kelly/Shorts Stadium, also playing there in 2008. The Chips will be looking to take advantage of a Bulls' defense which has been torched in the first half of games, allowing an average of 245 yards. Central Michigan will also have its hands full today though as Buffalo has been running an average of 88 plays over the last two games, including a season-high 96 vs. Bowling Green. The Bulls have also won the time of possession battle in every game they've played this year. Joe Licata threw for 348 yards and a TD in the 28-22 loss to the Falcons. CMU is just 2-4 overall and is coming off a hard-fought 41-39 loss at Western Michigan last Saturday and is led by QB Cooper Rush who has already thrown for 1,771 yards and 12 TD's on the season. This is the second lowest posted total for each team so far this season, but we feel that the value has now shifted to the higher number because of that, and note that Buffalo has in fact seen the total go OVER the number in its last five road games where the total in the contest is between 49.5 and 56 and in three of its last four when playing with two weeks or more of rest, while Central Michigan has seen the total sail above the posted number in four of its last seven off a loss vs. a conference rival. All signs do indeed point to the OVER as the savvy move in this contest.
