This is a 10* O/U INTERCONTINENTAL EXPRESS on the UNDER between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Indiana Pacers.
Both teams are 1-0 and each saw its respective opener fly above the posted number; suffice it to say, now that the adrenalin is gone from those opening contests, I think these two defensive minded clubs slug it out on Friday night and expect this total to ultimately fall below the posted number. The Pacers took care of business on opening night without leading scorer Paul George, and fellow starters David West and George Hill in the lineup on Wednesday, but lets not read too much into that victory as the home side faced off against the lowly 76ers. Things will be a lot tougher tonight vs. the hard-nosed Grizzlies. Big man Roy Hibbert led the charge with 22 points, eight boards and seven blocks in the 103-91 victory, but if there's one thing we've learned about Hibbert over the years, it's that he's one of the most inconsistent players around. He can be a beast one night, and a ghost the next. I think he'll be a non-factor tonight vs. the skilled and bruising bigs of the Grizzlies. Memphis would rumble for a 105-101 win over the Wolves on Wednesday, Marc Gasol led the way with a career-high 32 points while fellow big Zach Randolph chipped in 25 points and 13 boards. Note, these teams played each other twice last year and the home side one each game, not surprisingly they were both low-scoring games as Indiana won 95-79 on November 11th, before Memphis returned the favor in an 82-71 win on March 22nd. A great situational play in my opinion, all signs point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this one.
