This is an 8* O/U SUPER-BLOWOUT on the UNDER between Notre Dame and Navy.
No. 6 Notre Dame gets ready to take on 4-4 Navy on Saturday night and when the smoke clears at the end of this one, I expect this total to sneak below the posted number. For a number of different situational reasons, I am expecting a "chess match" style of game, where field position ultimately decideds the outcome. Notre Dame needs a victory to keep its hopes alive to advance to the College Football Playoff, the Irish are currently ranked 10th. The Midshipmen come in with momentum and motivation as well, they've won two in a row and still need two victories to become bowl eligible. It's true that Navy QB Keenan Reynolds is a hand full for any team, he ran for three TDs in last week's 41-31 win over San Jose State and had three TD's vs. the Irish last year, but note that Navy has seen the total go UNDER the number in six of its last ten after two or more consecutive SU victories, while Notre Dame has seen it fall below the number in five of its last six when playing with two weeks or more of rest. All signs point to the UNDER as the sharp wager in this contest.
