He has served up seven home runs in 21 innings already this season and allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits in 4 1/3 innings in his only career start against the White Sox. He might not be able to count on much help from a depleted bullpen followinga double-header against Minnesota yesterday.

Manny Banuelos (1-0, 3.48 ERA) will take the ball for the visitors. The left-hander should we well up for this contest as he'll make his first start of the season after pitching 10 1/3 innings out of the bullpen.

Orioles are 4-18 in Hess' last 22 starts and 0-6 in their last 6 games vs. a left-handed starter.
