The Arizona Diamondbacks claimed the opener of this two-game interleague series at Chase Field with a 3-1 triumph last night. I like the price we get on the home team to complete the sweep with another win here Wednesday afternoon.

Arizona right-hander Merrill Kelly (2-2, 3.94 ERA) limited Pittsburgh to a pair of runs on six hits through seven innings of an 11-2 win last time out. This will be the 30-year-old rookie's first meeting with the New York Yankee who will counter with Masahiro Tanaka (2-2, 3.60 ERA). Tanaka has not been particularly sharp in recent starts and has surrendered 12 runs (11 earned) through his last 16 2/3 innings of work. He has given up three free passes in each of his last three starts and served up a pair of homers in an 11-5 loss at Los Angeles Angels his last time out.

Diamondbacks are 10-1 in their last 11 vs. a team with a winning record and 4-1 in the last 5 meetings with the Yankees.
