The Seattle Mariners snapped a six-game slide with a 6-2 victory over the Texas Rangers on Monday. I think they'll make it two on the bounce here with Marco Gonzales (5-4, 3.41 ERA) on the mound. The 27-year-old southpaw limited Texas to a pair of runs through seven frames last time out and is 4-2 with a 2.38 ERA in seven career starts vs. the Rangers.

Texas will open with right-hander Jesse Chavez (0-1, 4.55 ERA) followed by right-hander Adrian Sampson (2-3, 4.44 ERA). Sampson has good career numbers against the Mariners, but he has compiled a poor 6.19 ERA on the road this season.

The Rangers are just 2-6 in the last eight meetings in Seattle following yesterday's loss, and I'm happy to back the home team in this matchup.
