FRIDAY NIGHT RUNLINE RIPPER
(MLB) Cleveland vs. Detroit,
Point Spread: -1.50 | 100.00 Cleveland (Away)
Result: Win
The Cleveland Indians took a 7-2 home loss to Cincinnati on Wednesday, but I think they look good to bounce back here in the opener of a seven-day road trip. They'll face a Detroit Tigers team that has dropped six of its last eight and will hand the ball to Ryan Carpenter.

Carpenter (1-3, 7.89 ERA) was charged with eight runs on 10 hits over 3 2/3 innings in a 12-2 loss to Minnesota last time out. Last season, the 28-year-old left-hander allowed five earned runs in five innings while losing his only career start against Cleveland.

The Tribe hand the ball to Adam Plutko (2-1, 5.19 ERA) for his fourth start this season. Plutko held the Yankees to two runs on three hits in six innings in an 8-4 win on Sunday. Note that the Tigers are 5-21 in their last 26 games vs. a right-handed starter.

Indians are 4-0 in their last 4 games following a loss. Indians are 5-0 in their last 5 games following an off day.

8* play on Cleveland Indians.
