Result: Loss
**8-1-1 FREE PICK RUN SINCE AUGUST 26**

The Tampa Bay Rays had won six straight games before suffering a wild 10-9 setback to the Texas Rangers on Wednesday.

These are two teams in completely different spots as the Rays are trying to hang on to the top wild-card in the American League while the Texas Rangers are nowhere near the postseason, but that has not stopped the Rangers from winning five of their last six games and scoring 9+ runs three times during that stretch.

Rays left-hander Brendan McKay (2-3, 5.03 ERA) is coming off a solid outing against Toronto, but it lasted only 3 2/3 innings and he was smacked around in several consecutive starts before getting shut down for 10 days at the end of August with fatigue in his throwing shoulder.

As for Texas starter Kolby Allard (4-0, 3.78 ERA), the 22-year-old left-hander held Baltimore to one run through 6 1/3 innings of a 3-1 win last Thursday. He has however allowed 35 hits and 11 walks over 33 1/3 innings of work for a 1.38 WHIP this season, and it's also worth pointing out his 6.75 ERA in his two starts at Globe Life Park.

Over is 5-1 in Rays last 6 road games and 16-5 in their last 21 when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game. Over is 4-1 in Rangers last 5 overall.
