The Colorado Avalanche are banged up and will have to do without forward Mikko Rantanen and defenseman Erik Johnson when they host the Edmonton Oilers Wednesday night.

The Pacific Division-leading Oilers are coming off back-to-back wins following a 4-3 SO triumph at Arizona on Sunday. They have the top scorers in the NHL in Leon Draisaitl (48 points) and Connor McDavid (47) who put on a show when they beat Colorado 6-2 on Nov. 14.

As for the Avs, they're coming off back-to-back defeats and I think they'll struggle to contain this powerful Oilers offense.
