Game of the Year (NHL) - Rogers' Non Conference BEST BET
(NHL) Vancouver vs. Detroit,
Money Line: 122.00 Vancouver (Away)
Result: Loss
Both the Vancouver Canucks and the Detroit Red Wings are coming into this contest as winners of three straight games. The Nucks wins have come in an extremely impressive fashion though, outscoring their opponents 11-1, and I like the price we get on the visitors.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Ryan Miller - He has tended the net in each of the aformentioned wins and is closing in on three scoreless hours coming off two consecutive shutouts. The veteran has not fared well against the Red Wings over recent years, but this will be his first time facing them in a Canucks jersey. The timing could not be better to execute some sweet revenge considering his form and how his D has protected him lately, allowing only 25 shots per game over the last three.

2. Road Warriors - Only two teams in the NHL have a better road record than the Nucks' 9-3-0. They've won six of their last seven and all of their last three away from home.

3. X-Factor - Is the Red Wings 15-5-5 record really impressive? Or are they nothing more than a flat-track bully? One might think so considering they've won only one of their last eight versus a team with a winning % above .600. The Nucks fits that bill winning close to 70% of their games so far.

Selection: This is a play on the Vancouver Canucks (10*)
