The red hot Calgary Flames are coming into this game on the back off four consecutive wins. They will host the San Jose Sharks, who by all means have had decent success lately as well, winning three straight outscoring their opponents 15-9. The visitors are the better team, and I think we're getting a good price on them here.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Motivational/Situational - The Flames can complete a perfect three game home-stand here before going on a four game road trip. They needed shootouts to overcome the Avs Thursday, and there is perhaps a sense of complacency sneaking into the team after all their unexpected success. The Sharks will be coming in very motivated here after losing the first meeting 2-0 in the Shark Tank last week.

2. Special Teams - The Sharks have gone 4-for-10 on the power play over their last three games and are the third best team on the man advantage for the season. The Flames have one of the NHL's worst penalty killing units and they are allowing a goal on almost a quarter of their penalties.

3. X-Factor - The Sharks have lost all their last three games that have gone past regulation while the Flames have won all of their last three in the same scenario. Those things tend to even out, and that would benefit the Sharks.
