Vancouver Canucks Free Pick
(NHL) NY Islanders vs. Vancouver,
Money Line: -110.00 Vancouver (Home)
Result: Win
The Vancouver Canucks opened a five game home-stand with a 3-2 loss to the Kings, but bounced back Saturday defeating the Red Wings 4-1. They've won three of their last four at home and should be worth the price here against a New York Islanders team that had a three game winning streak snapped Sunday.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. The Twins - The Sedin twins have done well against the Islander over recent meetings, with Daniel tallying 11 points over his last eight and Henrik 12 over his last nine. They are currently on a hot-streak having combined for 17 points over their last six games overall.

2. Road Woes - The Islanders opened a seven game road trip with back-to-back wins but are coming off a 5-2 loss at Edmonton. It's never a good sign when a lowly Oilers side are defeating you, and it's possible the travels already has started taking its toll.

3. X-Factor - The Nucks goalie Ryan Miller is 5-1-0 with a 2.24 GAA versus the Islanders over the previous three seasons.
