The Coach's NHL Monday Night - *SPECIAL OFFER*
(NHL) Carolina vs. Toronto,
Money Line: -147.00 Toronto (Home)
Result: Loss
The Maple Leafs are back in Toronto after a very disappointing road swing, which saw them lose four straight games. They can probably be excused though, visiting the three California teams and St. Louis, and I doubt there's a better spot to bounce back than at home versus on of the worst teams in the league in Carolina.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Home Cookin - The Maple Leafs may have struggled on the road lately, but they're boasting a very respectable 15-9-0 record on home ice. Their success in Toronto can be tracked back to a much more potent offense, scoring 3.62 goals at home compared to 2.2 goals per game on the road. I think it's safe to say that the Canes need to score goals to stay competitive here, but that is easier said than done for the visitors who ranks near the bottom of the league averaging 1.96 goals per game away from home.

2. Carolina's Goaltending Situation - It's main man Cam Ward has allowed seven goals over his last two games, and was chased off the ice after two periods against Vancouver his last outing. Anton Khudobin is 2-5-2 with a 2.84 GAA over nine appearances away from home this season.

3. X-Factor - Phil Kessel is leading the Leafs with 24 assists and 43 points. He has failed to tally any points over Toronto's current skid, but was 1+1 his last outing on home ice.

Selection: This is a play on the Toronto Maple Leafs (8*)
