The Coach's TEN STAR NCAAB TOMAHAWK *Early*
(NCAAB) Maryland vs. Iowa,
Point Spread: -5.50 | -107.00 Iowa (Home)
Result: Win
Iowa and Maryland face off in a new Big Ten matchup. The 17th ranked Terrapins are 19-4 and 7-3 in conference play after a 64-58 home win over Penn State on Wednesday. Iowa is 5-4 in 5-4 in conference play and 14-8 overall off a 72-54 win at Michigan. Neither of these teams has been great ATS this season but with home court advantage in a big game I like the Hawkeyes to pull out a win and consequently an ATS cover.

Here are my keys to the game:

Maryland road woes- Maryland allowed an average of 63.5 points and 37.0 percent shooting in winning three of its first four road contests, but allowed 52.7 percent while losing at then-No. 23 Indiana and Ohio State by a combined 43 points. They are just 3-3 on the road overall and 2-6 ATS versus teams with a winning record.

Iowa home confidence- Iowa is 10-3 at home this season and 7-3 as the favorite. This game is sold out and the atmosphere should be very good in helping the Hawkeye.

X-Factor- Hawkeye Aaron White, who is ninth in Iowa history with 128 games played, ranks first among active Big Ten players in rebounding (797) and is fourth in scoring (1,630).

Selection: This is a play on Iowa (10*)
