(NHL) Edmonton vs. New Jersey,

Result: Loss
The Devils and the Edmonton Oilers will meet in the swamp for a non-conference matchup. These two teams are coming off disheartening losses. The Oilers were beat up 5-1 in Toronto while the Devils suffered a 6-2 letdown at Montreal. The Devils are the better team on paper here and showed it back in November with a 2-0 win at Edmonton. Don't be surprised if we see the same sort of result here.

Here are my keys to the game-

The Devils strong play- Even though the Devils lost at Montreal, they have been playing some strong hockey. The Devils have won four of the last five at home and the loss was acceptable since the team was playing a back-to-back set.

Edmonton road woes- Don't expect a bounce back for the Oilers here as the team is just 5-14-7 on the road this season. After games where they allowed four or more goals, the Oilers are a troubling 4-21.

X-factor- The Devils started a rookie in net for their loss at Montreal and he allowed a season high six goals for the Devils. Keith Kincaid won't be in net for New Jersey for this game though as starter Cory Schneider is set to get the start. Schneider is 4-0-1 with a 1.37 goals-against average in his last five starts and has a .944 save percentage in 10 starts since the calendar flipped to 2015.

Selection: This is a play on the New Jersey Devils. (6*)
