9* Coach's Clinic
(NHL) Detroit vs. Pittsburgh,
Money Line: -135.00 Pittsburgh (Home)
Result: Win
The Detroit Red Wings didn't miss starting netminder Jimmy Howard, winning 10-of-12 while he was sidelined by injury. Howard is ready to return, but it looks like he might have to win his job back. The Wings are in Pittsburgh tonight, and coach Mike Babcock will stick with the red hot Petr Mrazek. He's starting opposite the Penguins Marc-Andre Fleury who comes off back-to-back shutouts. It's tough to bet against the Pens at home when they have all their top players healthy.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Home Cookin' - When these two teams get together, history certainly favors the home team. We've seen the hosts prevail in 12 of the last 16 meetings in this series, and the Wings have lost six of their last seven trips to Pittsburgh.

2. Situational/Motivational - The Penguins should prove to be the hungrier of the two teams, coming off a 5-0 loss at Vancouver. The Wings have won nine of their last 10, and complacency could be an issue on the road tonight.

3. X-Factor - Evgeni Malkin leads the team with 20 goals, and he's second in points behind Sidney Crosby with 52. He's been particularly good at home, with 30 points in 25 games.

Selection: This is a play on the Pittsburgh Penguins (9*)
