The Coach's TEN STAR Underdog Surprise!
(NHL) Los Angeles vs. Colorado,
Money Line: 133.00 Colorado (Home)
Result: Loss
The L.A. Kings are on a roll, coming into Colorado tonight as winners of five straight. They might be biting off more than they can chew tonight though, as the Avs are also hot of late. Colorado is coming off consecutive home wins, out-scoring the opposition 9-3 in those games. The Kings have been somewhat fortunate to have come out on the winning side of some close games in recent days, but their luck could run out tonight.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Home Cookin' - The Kings have really struggled on the road, going 7-12-6 so far this season. The home team has prevailed in five of the last seven meetings in this series.

2. Goaltending - Jonathan Quick has had a challenging season so far, and he's struggled in recent visits to Denver. He's surrendered three goals while losing three straight at Colorado. Semyon Varlamov is 11-6-1 with a 2.14 GAA at home this season.

3. X-Factor - Jarome Iginla has a pair of goals and five assists in his last five games, and he's feeling pumped up for tonight's game: "We're going to have another big one against L.A., but the big ones, they're all fun at this time of year," said Iginla.

Selection: This is a play on the Colorado Avalanche
