The Calgary Flames are on the road at MSG in New York tonight, needing a win over the Rangers in order to stay in the playoff race in the Western Conference. The Flames find themselves locked in a three way tie for eighth place with L.A. and San Jose. I expect to see Calgary give the Rangers a run for their money here tonight.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Road Warriors - The Flames have won five of their last seven on the road, and they are 15-11-1 overall away from the Saddledome.

2. Goaltending - With Henrik Lundqvist sidelined by injury, the Rangers will have to depend on backup Cam Talbot. He's looked a little shaky lately, surrendering a dozen goals in his last three appearances. The Rangers won two of those three games, but all three were decided by a single goal.

3. X-Factor - Four of the last five head to head meetings between these two teams have been decided by just one goal.
