The Coach's NHL SURE SHOT
(NHL) Minnesota vs. Washington,
Money Line: -135.00 Washington (Home)
Result: Loss
The Minnesota Wild have been one of the hottest team in the NHL since acquiring goalie Devan Dubnyk from the Coyotes. He'll be put to the test here though, facing the NHL's deadliest duo in Nicklas Backstrom and Alexander Ovechkin. With both teams eyeing a playoff spot we are sure to be in for an intense game of hockey here, but the Caps have dominated this series and that's a trend I expect to continue.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Devan Dubnyk - As impressive as his numbers are since joining the Wild organization, keep in mind: This is a 28 year old who is in his sixth season in the NHL without ever posting a better GAA than 2.71 for a season. He can implode just about any game, and the Caps have owned him over the last two meetings, lighting the lamp nine times.

2. Home Cookin' - The Capitals have won four straight meetings in Washington and are posting a solid 18-8-5 record on home ice for the season. They're averaging 3.00 goals per game at Verizon Center while only allowing 2.26 goals per game themselves and shut out the Maple Leafs their last time out in front of their home fans.

3. X-Factor - The Caps Niklas Backstrom and Alexander Ovechkin are tied for the NHL lead with their 67 points for the season. Ovechkin is tops in the league in goals, tallying 43 total and 10 over his last 10 games.

Selection: This is a play on the Washington Capitals
