The Coach's Saturday NHL Trifecta
(NHL) St. Louis vs. Toronto,
Money Line: -167.00 St. Louis (Away)
Result: Win
The St. Louis Blues opened a five game road trip with wins at Winnipeg and Edmonton but have since suffered back-to-back losses. With only about a month left in the regular season it is vital they get back to their best for the upcoming playoffs. Visiting the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs is as good a spot as any to bounce back as trips to Air Canada Centre have been fruitful in recent seasons. I don't see why tonight would be any different.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Special Teams - The Blues are boasting the fourth best power play unit in the NHL and more goals on the man advantage is a strong possibility tonight. Toronto has struggled big time on the penalty kill of late, allowing 11 goals over its last nine games.

2. Road Warriors - The visitors have been dominant away from home all season long posting a 18-11-3 road record. They've had the better of the Maple Leafs over recent meetings in Toronto as well, claiming eight of the last 10 contests.

3. X-Factor - The Maple Leafs are coming off a 4-2 loss at Tampa Bay Thursday and are just 1-9 in their last 10 playing on one day of rest.

Selection: This is a play on the St. Louis Blues (8*)
