The Coach's Monday NBA Trifecta
(NBA) Portland vs. Washington,
Point Spread: -2.00 | -105.00 Washington (Home)
Result: Win
Portland is coming off a convincing win on the road at Toronto last night, but we might see them struggle here in Washington just 24 hours later. The Wizards appear to have put their slump behind them, coming into tonight's game as winners of four straight home games, and five of seven overall. I like the home team here as a slight favorite, as the visitors are in a tough spot.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Home Cookin' - Washington boasts a solid home record of 24-20, and it's won six of it's last seven home meetings versus Portland. The Blazers are playing the second game in as many nights, and might not be able to match the Wizards intensity.

2. John Wall - Washington's PG is feeling the hot hand, coming off a big game against the Kings. Wall scored 31 points and dished out a dozen assists, helping the Wizards score a season-high 67 second half points.

3. X-Factor - The Blazers have yet to feel the effects of the loss of Wesley Matthews, but he hit five three-pointers in a home win over Washington in the most recent meeting between these two teams.

Selection: This is a play on the Washington Wizards (10*)
