The Coach's MLB Very Early SURE SHOT
(MLB) LA Angels vs. San Francisco,
Money Line: -106.00 San Francisco (Home)
Result: Win
The reigning World Series champion San Francisco Giants have waken up after a slow start and have won four of their last five games. They have a chance to complete the sweep of three game set against the Los Angeles Angels with another win this afternoon, and I definitely like their chances.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - The Angels will hand the ball to Jered Weaver (0-3, 5.83 ERA) who's still looking for his first win of the season. He allowed all of the six runs over seven innings in a 6-2 loss at Oakland his last start and struggld on the year most of last season as well posting a 4.70 ERA over 16 road starts. He's not faced the Giants since 2011 and does not have much experience against any of their hitters and will have his hands full trying to cool down Buster Posey who's coming in hot going 9-for-24 during a six-game hitting streak. The Giants will counter with Tim Lincecum (1-2, 3.27 ERA) who's off a disappointing performance at Dodger Stadium but impressed in a home-start against the Dodgers in the game prior. That's hardly a coincidence as it's usually at AT&T Park where Lincecum is at his best; he was 9-3 with a 3.91 ERA home in San Francisco last year.

2. Home Cookin' - The Giants have won each of their last five at home and are 6-1 in Lincecum's last seven home starts against a team with a losing record. The Angels meanwhile are just 1-4 in their last five interleague road games.

3. X-Factor - The odds indicate that we'll have a pretty close game on our hands here and then the Giants should have a huge advantage as their eight one-run victories lead the majors.

Selection: This is a play on the San Francisco Giants (10*)
