The Coach's MLB Late Show - SPECIAL
(MLB) Tampa Bay vs. Seattle,
Point Spread: 1.50 | -155.00 Seattle (Home)
Result: Win
The Seattle Mariners are slumping, coming into tonight's home game against Tampa as losers of six straight. They are an underdog tonight, but I like their chances of breaking out of this slump with a capable veteran pitcher on the mound.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - J.A. Happ will be on the hill for the Mariners, and he's pitched well in Seattle so far. Happ (3-1, 3.70 ERA) gave up a couple runs on eight hits over five innings in a no decision versus Cleveland his last time out. He's 2-1 with a 2.30 ERA in five starts at Safeco this season. The Rays counter with Jake Odorizzi, who lost to Seattle earlier this season.

2. Mark Trumbo - The Mariners have a little more "pop" in the lineup after acquiring Mark Trumbo from Arizona. He was 2-for-4 in his Mariners debut last night.

3. X-Factor - The Mariners play a lot of one-run games, in fact 10 of their last 24 overall were decided by just one run.

Selection: This is a play on the Seattle Mariners +1.5 (8*)
