The Coach's MLB Live On ESPN - Braves vs. Red Sox
(MLB) Atlanta vs. Boston,
Point Spread: 1.50 | -140.00 Atlanta (Away)
Result: Win
Point Spread: 1.50 | -140.00 Atlanta (Away)
Result: Win
The Boston Red Sox have lost six in a row, and they sit in the cellar in the AL East. The way the Red Sox have been playing, it's seems hard to believe that they are a big favorite in tonight's game against Atlanta. The Braves have had their ups and downs, but overall they've been more competitive than Boston.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Williams Perez will get the nod for the visitors, and he's been very sharp so far. Perez (2-0, 2.70 ERA) gave up one run on four hits over seven frames in a win over San Diego in his last start. The Red Sox counter will Rick Porcello, who has been struggling of late. Porcello (4-6, 5.26 ERA) gave up five runs on 10 hits over just 5.1 frames in a loss to the Orioles in his most recent outing.
2. Braves Bats - Freddie Freeman is hitting .365 with five homers and 14 RBIs in his last 13 games, while Cameron Maybin is batting .420 with 10 RBIs in his last 11 games.
3. X-Factor - Mike Napoli is batting .200 for the season, and he's 1 for his last 20.
Selection: This is a play on the Atlanta Braves +1.5 (8*)
