The Coach's MLB Heavy Hitter - (Bigtime Blowout Potential)
(MLB) Kansas City vs. Milwaukee,
Money Line: -115.00 Kansas City (Away)
Result: Win
Money Line: -115.00 Kansas City (Away)
Result: Win
The Royals will be in Milwaukee tonight, looking to pad their lead at the top of the AL Central. The Brewers were shutout at home by Washington last night, managing only one hit against Max Sherzer. This looks like another tough spot for the struggling Brewers, and I'll take the Royals tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Edinson Volquez will be on the hill for the visitors, and he's having a solid season so far. Volquez (5-4, 3.07 ERA) gave up one run on six hits over seven frames in a 7-2 win at Minnesota in his last start. The Royals have won six of his last seven starts. The Brewers will counter with Kyle Lohse, who is win-less in his last five starts. He's allowed 14 runs on 29 in his last three appearances.
2. Lohse At Home - The 36 year old right-hander is 2-4 with an 8.41 ERA in seven starts at Miller Park this season.
3. X-Factor - The Brewers have lost nine of their last 12 home games.
Selection: This is a play on the Kansas City Royals (10*)
