The Chicago White Sox upset Detroit at Comerica Park last night, rallying to score three runs in the top of the 10th, and then holding on for an 8-7 victory. Such an offensive outburst is a rare event for the White Sox, but we might expect the bats to remain hot here in Detroit in Game 2. History tells us that when these teams get together, we should expect plenty of scoring. That's especially true in Detroit where the total has gone over at a rate of 12-4-1 in the last 17 meetings.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - Jose Quintana will get the start for the visitors, and he's looking for his fourth win of the season. Quintana (3-7, 3.92 ERA) allowed two runs on five hits over seven frames in a no decision at home versus Texas in his last start. This will be his fourth start against Detroit this season, and he's 0-2 with a 7.88 ERA in the previous three. The Tigers counter with Anibal Sanchez, who gave up nine runs on nine hits in just 3.1 innings in a blowout loss at home to Chicago earlier this season.

2. Batter vs. Pitcher - Sanchez was roughed up by the Sox the only meeting this season, but it wasn't the first time. Chicago's lineup is hitting a combined .339 versus the right-hander, and Jose Abreu is 5-for-8 with a home run and five RBIs lifetime versus Sanchez.

3. X-Factor - Sanchez is 0-5 with an 8.20 ERA in five home starts versus the White Sox.
