The Coach's MLB Gourmet *HOME COOKIN'*
(MLB) Arizona vs. Seattle,
Money Line: -158.00 Seattle (Home)
Result: Loss
The Arizona Diamondbacks are off three consecutive wins as they defeated the Seattle Mariners 4-3 in last night's opener of a three-game set at Safeco Field. I like the Mariners to bounce back with a win tonight as they should have a significant edge on the mound.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - The D'backs will hand the ball to Zack Godley (1-0, 0.00 ERA) who will make his second career start in the majors. He held the Brewers scoreless over six innings home at Arizona in his debut, but remember that Milwaukee has struggled at the plate lately and here he'll be out of his comfort zone in his first road start. The Mariners will counter with Hisashi Iwakuma (2-1, 4.50 ERA) who struggled in his first four games back from injury but has found his groove of late. Seattle has won each of his last three starts with the 34 year old surrendering only four runs on 14 hits over 20 2/3 innings of work.

2. Situational - The Mariners have won seven of Iwakuma's last nine starts with four days of rest and they're 6-1 in his last seven starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance.

3. X-Factor - Robinson Cano is batting .406 with three homers during an eight-game hitting streak.

Selection: This is a play on the Seattle Mariners (8*)
