The Coach's MLB SURE SHOT
(MLB) Atlanta vs. Philadelphia,
Money Line: -104.00 Atlanta (Away)
Result: Loss
The Atlanta Braves have lost four straight heading into tonight's Game 2 at Philly, but they look good to bounce back with a win against the last place Phillies. Both teams have been unloading players at the deadline, but the Braves still enjoy a pitching mismatch tonight.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - Williams Perez will be on the mound for Atlanta, and the rookie has been impressive so far. Perez (4-0, 2.88 ERA) allowed two runs on four hits over 4.2 innings in a no decision at Pittsburgh in his last outing. He's 2-0 with a 2.33 ERA in four starts on the road. The Phillies counter with David Buchanan, who has just one victory on the season. Buchanan (1-5, 7.00 ERA) allowed three runs on six hits over 6.1 innings in a no decision versus Tampa in his last start.

2. Buchanan vs. Division Opponents - The Phillies are 1-11 in Buchanans last 12 starts vs. National League East.

3. X-Factor - Umpire Mark Carlson hasn't been kind to home teams, with the road team winning six of his last seven games behind home plate.

Selection: This is a play on the Atlanta Braves (10*)
