The Coach's Monday MLB TRIFECTA
(MLB) Arizona vs. Washington,
Point Spread: 1.50 | -164.00 Arizona (Away)
Result: Win
The Washington Nationals were swept over three games at Citi Field over the weekend and are now tied for first in the NL East with the Mets. They need to find their way back to the winning formula, but it might not happen tonight when they'll face an Arizona Diamondbacks team that had won six straight before losing two at Houston.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - The Nats hand the ball to Doug Fister (4-6, 4.39 ERA) who allowed two runs on four hits in six innings of a 7-2 win at Miami his last start. He had gone 1-5 with a 6.19 ERA in his previous seven outings though and he'll have to watch out for Arizona's Jarrod Saltalamacchia who is 5-for-16 with a homer in previous meetings. The D'backs will counter with Zack Godley (2-0, 2.25 ERA) who'll make his third start in the major leagues. He has 11 strikeouts and three walks in 12 innings of work over the previous two and will face a Washington team that has scored just 15 runs over its last six games behind a .203 batting average.

2. Situational - The Nats have lost four straight with Fister starting on four days of rest and they're 1-4 in his last five starts following a Quality Start in his last appearance. The Diamondbacks are 5-1 in their last six games when coming up against a right-handed starter.

3. X-Factor - Washington is hitting .121 with runners in scoring position over its last seven games.

Selection: This is a play on the Arizona D'backs +1.5 (8*)
