The Tampa Bay Lightning will host Sunshine State rivals the Florida Panthers at Amalie Arena Sunday afternoon. The Lightning are hot and have dominated this series in recent seasons, and this looks like a reasonable price on the home-team.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Shift In Momentum - The Panthers recorded 12 consecutive wins between Dec. 15 - Jan. 10, but they've lost each of their last two and were out-shot 36-15 in a 6-0 defeat at Calgary Wednesday. The Lightning on the other hand have won four straight while out-scoring opponents 15-9.
2. Previous Meetings - The Panthers swept a home-and-home set back in November, but the Lightning have won four of the last five when hosting the Panthers and 14 of the last 19 meetings overall. Ben Bishop is 6-1-1 with a 2.17 GAA in eight career meetings with Florida.
3. X-Factor - Tampa Bay's Vladislav Namestnikov scored his first career hat-trick in Friday's 5-4 overtime win against the Pens and he has eight points during a four-game point-streak.
