The Cleveland Cavaliers failed to reap any immediate benefits following the sacking of David Blatt as they lost 96-83 against the Bulls in Tyronn Lue's first game in charge Saturday. Lue was not happy at all with what he saw, and some of the changes he's looking to implement leads me to believe we'll see a high-scoring contest against the Minnesota Timberwolves Monday night.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. The Cavs Pace - Lue was visibly upset with the pace Cleveland played at Monday. "I think we have to play faster," Lue told the team's official website. "I think we have to utilize Kyrie and LeBron's one-on-one ability in transition to open the floor more and run in more drags. We just haven't been accustomed to playing that way ..." I expect Cleveland to come out and play way faster basketball than usual tonight.
2. Road Woes - The Timberwolves have lost eight straight on the road and the over is 6-1-1 in that span. They've surrendered more than a 100 points in each of these contests.
3. X-Factor - An offensive explosion from the Cavs is likely tonight as the over is 6-2-1 in their last nine games following a straight up loss of more than 10 points.
