Rogers' 10* MLB Afternoon MASSACRE!
(MLB) Texas vs. Seattle,
Money Line: -142.00 Seattle (Home)
Result: Win
10* MASSACRE on Seattle Mariners (3:40 EST).

After taking two of three in Texas to start the season, the Mariners have lost five straight. Wednesday's matinee at home versus the Rangers looks like a good spot for Seattle to get back on track, with what appears to be a favorable match-up on the mound. My money is on the Mariners as a slight favorite.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - The Rangers will send A.J. Griffin to the mound, and he was a winner in his season debut. The 28 year old allowed three runs on six hits and a pair of walks in a 7-3 win at LA. He hasn't been so successful against the Mariners, going 1-2 with a 5.00 ERA in three starts since 2013. The Mariners will counter with Taijuan Walker, who pitched well in his debut but didn't get the win.

2. Batter vs. Pitcher - Robinson Cano hit four home runs in his first three games, but has since really cooled off. He could get back on track here as he's batting .375 lifetime versus Griffin.

3. X-Factor - The Mariners have a record of 14-5 in Walker's last 19 starts dating back to last June.

Selection: This is a play on the Seattle Mariners (8*)
