(MLB) Milwaukee vs. Pittsburgh,
Money Line: -136.00 Pittsburgh (Home)
Result: Loss
8* play on Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Pittsburgh Pirates will host the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 1 of a three game set at PNC Park Friday, and Pittsburgh appears to have an advantage with Jeff Locke starting opposite Jimmy Nelson. The Brewers lost two of three in their previous series in St. Louis, and I think they are in a tough spot in Game 1 in Pittsburgh.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - This will be the second start of 2016 for Locke, who allowed just one run on seven hits in six innings, picking up a no decision in a 2-1 loss at Cincinnati in his debut. He pitched quite well against the Brewers last year, especially at home. He has posted a 2.98 ERA in his last eight starts versus Milwaukee. The Brewers will counter with Jimmy Nelson, and the 26 year old gave up four runs on four hits and three walks over five innings, losing his last start here in Pittsburgh.

2. Batter vs. Pitcher - Andrew McCutchen is off to a bit of a slow start, but he walked twice and hit a double yesterday. He's 3-for-7 lifetime versus Nelson.

3. X-Factor - The Brewers have been struggling against southpaws, they are 1-8 in their last nine games versus a left-handed starter.

Selection: This is a play on the Pittsburgh Pirates (8*)
