Rogers' 10* ROUND 1 SIDE OF THE WEEK!
(NHL) Tampa Bay vs. Detroit,
Money Line: -125.00 Detroit (Home)
Result: Loss
This is a 10* SIDE OF THE WEEK on the Detroit Red Wings.

The Detroit Red Wings trimmed the deficit in this Eastern Conference first-round playoff series against the Tampa Bay Lightning to just one game with a convincing 2-0 win Sunday. They'll be desperate to record another victory home at Joe Louis Arena before Thursday's game at Tampa Bay and I like the home-team in this contest.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Road Woes - The Lightning lost both meetings at Joe Louis Arena during the regular-season and they finished the season by losing five of their last seven away from home.

2. The Recent Game - Detroit had out-shot Tampa Bay in each of the first two games of the series, but it dominated the shots with a 30-16 advantage in Sunday's win. The Lightning's lack of health is catching up with them as they're playing without both Steven Stamkos and standout defenseman Anton Stralman.

3. X-Factor - Petr Mrazek got the nod between the pipes ahead of Jimmy Howard Sunday after the latter tended the net in the first two games of the series. Expect Mrazek to be back in net tonight after a shutout in his first start of this season's playoffs.

Selection: This is a play on the Detroit Red Wings (10*)
